As you know with most Bed & Breakfasts, there is usually a story. We are no exception to the rule and proudly lay claim to ties with the infamous Marlow Brothers. This house was built shortly before 1900 by Benjamin Franklin Herron and his wife, Mary Lucinda Dalton. Herron served as a confederate soldier from 1862 to 1863, a Texas Ranger in 1867, a Young County Commissioner, a Graham alderman and merchant. In spite of all his titles, “Frank” was most noted in Young County for befriending the Marlow brothers in 1888. Should you desire the Hollywood version of the Marlow Brother’s escapades, we proudly display a John Wayne classic inside the television cabinet in the living room titled, The Sons of Katy Elder.
